Position Overview

The Vice President of Security Operations will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing the security operations of Good Guard Security. This executive position requires a strategic leader with a deep understanding of security protocols, risk management, and operational excellence. The VP will be responsible for developing and implementing security strategies that align with the company’s objectives while ensuring the safety and security of our clients and their assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive security operations strategy that aligns with Good Guard Security’s overall business goals.

  • Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day security operations across all client sites, ensuring adherence to company policies and industry standards.

  • Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement appropriate security measures to mitigate risks.

  • Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing security operations team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

  • Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their security needs and concerns proactively.

  • Policy Development: Establish and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Incident Management: Oversee the response to security incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution while minimizing impact on clients and operations.

  • Technology Integration: Evaluate and implement advanced security technologies to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the security operations budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.

  • Training and Development: Implement training programs for security personnel to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.

  • Reporting: Provide regular reports to senior management on security operations performance, incidents, and recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.

  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in security operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Certifications: Relevant security certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP, CISSP) are highly desirable.

  • Leadership Skills: Proven track record of leading and managing teams effectively in a dynamic environment.

  • Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to develop actionable plans.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing security challenges.

  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with security technologies, systems, and software.
