Position Overview:

The Director of Security Operations will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of security operations within the organization. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in security management, risk assessment, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will lead a team of security professionals, develop and implement security protocols, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing security operations team.

  • Establish clear objectives and performance metrics for team members.

  • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge.

• Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive security operations strategy aligned with the company's goals.

  • Identify and assess potential security risks and vulnerabilities across all operations.

  • Collaborate with senior management to integrate security considerations into business planning.

• Policy Development:

  • Create and maintain security policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure a safe environment.

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to security operations.

  • Regularly review and update policies to adapt to emerging threats and industry best practices.

• Incident Management:

  • Oversee the response to security incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution.

  • Conduct thorough investigations of security breaches and recommend corrective actions.

  • Prepare detailed reports on incidents and present findings to senior management.

• Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services to enhance security measures.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for security-related issues within the organization.

  • Communicate security policies and procedures to all employees and stakeholders.

• Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage the security operations budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness.

  • Identify opportunities for resource optimization and efficiency improvements.

• Technology Integration:

  • Evaluate and implement advanced security technologies to enhance operational effectiveness.

  • Stay updated on industry trends and innovations to maintain a competitive edge.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in security operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

• Proven expertise in risk assessment, incident management, and security policy development.

• Strong knowledge of security technologies and systems (CCTV, access control, alarm systems, etc.).

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions in high-stress situations.

• Certifications such as CPP (Certified Protection Professional) or PSP (Physical Security Professional) are highly desirable.
